Dr. Roberto Suarez

Dr. Roberto Suarez is a school counselor, educator, and robotics mentor with more than 20 years of experience in college counseling, admissions, and student success. His background spans higher education, international admissions, and STEM and world language education. A co-founding committee member of the College Board’s BigFuture, Dr. Suarez is a member of NACAC and a Past President of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), where he served two consecutive terms. He is regularly invited to serve on national advisory boards focused on improving college access and student outcomes. Roberto collaborates with colleges and universities to design data-informed student match initiatives and build resources that help families navigate the admissions and financial aid process with confidence. In addition to his work with Method Learning, Roberto continues to guide students toward top colleges and scholarship programs while leading STEM initiatives and academic enrichment programs. His prior experience includes leadership roles in admissions and education at Lewis University, the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, and Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development. Dr. Suarez holds a PhD in Educational Leadership from DePaul University, an Executive Program Certificate in Economics from MIT Sloan School of Management, and a Master’s in Counseling from Lewis University. He also completed advanced coursework at Columbia University and the University of Chicago, focusing on financial systems and critical issues in education. Along with his amazing wife, a special education teacher, Roberto has two incredible children who love piano, theater, soccer, dance, and aspire to become a pediatrician and a lawyer. He is an avid reader who enjoys practicing Kung Fu and Taekwondo, working out, stock trading, real estate investing, playing chess, and spending his vacations with his family on the lake or by the ocean.
