James Ingoglia
College of the Holy Cross, Hofstra University School of Law
Jim is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, where he studied pre-med for two years and obtained a B.A. in history. He also graduated with honors from the Hofstra University School of Law and was a managing editor of the Law Review. After his undergraduate degree, Jim taught Chemistry and Biology at a Catholic high school in Queens and then English in Japan for several years. Following law school, he served as a federal law clerk and then practiced litigation for over 20 years. During that time, he taught law to paralegals at Hofstra University and coached a city high school's moot court and mock trial teams. Recently, Jim returned to teaching full-time at a Long Island Catholic co-ed high school, where he teaches English Skills to international students and Human Biology to juniors and seniors. Jim is an avid runner who ran distance events at Chaminade High School and Holy Cross and now coaches boys and girls high school track. When not teaching, Jim enjoys running and spending time at the beach with his wife Amy and two sons, Matt and AJ. In addition to tutoring SAT and ACT, Jim is available to teach lessons in speech and debate, History, English, and Biology.
